The Cotabato State University Seal

The University seal represents its historical foundation and establishment as a government institution and the purpose for which it was created.  The symbols are described as follows:

               

  1. The Ninety-seven (97) Corrugations of Rope (originally 59 dots interlinks): bordered around the name of Cotabato State University (CSU) represents the number of years that the university has operated as a high school from 1924 to 1983 before its conversion took place on June 29, 1983 into a state college, and now Cotabato City State Polytechnic College, now Cotabato State University, by virtue of Republic Act (RA) No. 10585 on April 3, 2021;

 

  1. The Circles: encloses the name of the University in the Maroon color with Yellow as the base color;

 

  1. The COG of GEAR: the COG symbolizes the wheel of the technology and science, which depicts the mission, and thrust of CCSPC for academic and technical excellence and leadership through scholarship, development and loyalty;

 

  1. The sketch map: Green stands for terrestrial ecosystem and represents "agriculture"; Dark Green stands for upland ecosystem and forestry, and Blue represents wetland ecosystems and Fisheries;

 

  1. The Sky: is considered a global luminous light given by god for all forms of organisms to live and regenerate. This depicts our local action through human development that will augment the global resource demand;

 

  1. The Torch with 4 Sun Rays: stands for the 4-Fold Functions of the University: Instruction, Research, Extension and the Production;

 

  1. The Book: stands for the foundation of a person's knowledge propagation and transformation into a productive service provider to humanity and transformation into a productive service provider to humanity and nature through the University's courses offered;

 

  1. 2021 Years: 1924 - High School; 1983 - College; 2021 - University;

 

  1. The word "Cotabato City": Cotabato City is known as the CIty of Rivers and Creeks (City of Wetlands).
