Prof. Saidamin P. Bagolong, Director of the University Policy and Scientific Publication, attended the IASIA 2023 Conference with the theme “Building Better Futures of Governance towards Achieving the SDGs in a VUCA World” from July 31 to August 4, 2023, at the National College of Public Administration and Governance, University of the Philippines-Diliman Campus, Quezon City, Philippines.
The conference is organized by the International Association of Schools and Institutes of Administration (IASIA/IIAS) in close collaboration with the University of the Philippines, National College of Public Administration and Governance, Philippine Society for Public Administration, Eastern Regional Organization for Public Administration Inc., United Nations Development Programme, Local Government Academy, Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Valenzuela, University of Makati, Philippine Councilors League-Legislative Academy, De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde-School of Diplomacy and Governance, Ateneo School of Government, Polytechnic University of the Philippines, Association of Schools of Public Administration in the Philippines, and the Philippine Futures Thinking Society.
Prof. Bagolong presented his paper on Barangay Disaster Response Capability in the Municipality of Wao, Lanao del Sur As the Basis for an Intervention Program under the Working Group 10-1: Public Administration in Fragile and Conflict-Affected States on August 1, 2023, 9:00-10:30 am, at the 2nd Floor, Pardec A, Commission on Human Rights Building. Joining him in the same group was his co-presenter, Dr. Sajid P. Abdula of the Mindanao State University-Maguindanao Campus, Mr. Mahid M. Rachman of the Mindanao State University-Main Campus, and participants from the Department of Interior and Local Government, and the Local Government Academy.
