Mindanao, Philippines — Marking its second founding anniversary, the Mindanao, Sulu, Palawan – Innovative Research and Development Consortium (MinSuPala-IRDC) proudly unveiled its official website: https://www.minsupalairdc.com. The milestone signifies a bold step forward in fostering inclusive, data-driven development across Southern Philippines. Originally established through a landmark Memorandum of Agreement signed on July 20, 2023, the creation of the consortium was witnessed by Department of Budget and Management (DBM) Secretary Amenah F. Pangandaman, whose vision and leadership have played a crucial role in its foundation and sustained growth.
What began with eight pioneering SUCs has now expanded to fourteen active members, encompassing state universities and colleges from Regions IX, XII, and the BARMM-BaSulTa areas. This expansion reflects the region’s deepening commitment to collaboration, research, and innovation.
The newly launched MinSuPala-IRDC platform serves as a centralized hub for:
-
SDG-aligned research outputs and policy briefs
-
Open data portals supporting evidence-based planning
-
Institutional updates, partnerships, and collaborative opportunities
The consortium expresses its heartfelt gratitude to Secretary Pangandaman for her unwavering support, catalyzing a movement that unites higher education institutions in the pursuit of equitable development and social capital building.
