Acknowledging the importance of strategic directions of the University, the Committee was created and tasked to come up with a 5-year development plan, management audit, and an organizational, administrative, and academic structure in response to Section 21 of the Republic Act, 10585 as amended by Republic Act 11013 or an act converting the Cotabato City State Polytechnic College in Cotabato City into a state university to be known as the Cotabato State University and appropriating funds therefor.
Dr. Tarhata S. Guiamalon-Dean of Graduate School headed the Committee with Engr. Susa A. Elias, Director of Planning and Development, Dr. Saidamin P. Bagolong, Director of External and International Linkages, Dr. Arbaya H. Boquia, Director of Research Services, Dr. Ainonnacirin A. Abdulgani, Designate Human Resource Officer, Dr. Nick L. Aduana, University Accountant, Delsa L. Culanggo, Budget Officer, and Amerhusein S. Amad, Director of Management and Information System as members. The Committee conducted the 5-year development planning and management audit on September 6, 2021, and September 10, 2021, to facilitate the crafting of plans, programs, and projects based on priority areas with measurable performance indicators aligned with the approved 6 University goals that will revitalize the future of the University.
The six university goals focused on expanding academic programs, quality research outputs, quality of life improvement, revenue-generating innovation, participative management system, and modernization of equipment and facilities. While the management audit will help the University achieves its objectives by bringing a systematic, disciplined approach in evaluating and improving the efficiency and effectiveness of its operations, risk management, control, and governance processes. All of these were a response to the mandate of the University to provide advanced education, higher technological, professional instruction and training, promote and undertake research and extension services, and provide progressive leadership in its areas of specialization. This development plan and management audit will give the stamp of excellence that puts Cotabato State University at par with other state universities in the Southern Philippines. //Dr. Saidamin P.
