SOCCSKSARGEN Regional Celebration with the theme”Agham at Teknolohiya: Tugon Sa Hamon ng Panahon, last November 25, 2021 at Greeleaf Hotel, General Santos. The University President Prof. Sema G. Dilna received the award together with Dr. Tarhata S. Guiamalon, Dean of the Graduate School and Project leader of the Halal project and Instr. Fatima D. Kasan, the secretary to the university President. In attendance also were the members of halal team and staff namely, Dr. Abonawas M. Pendaliday, Dr. Arbaya H. Boquia, instr. Ayesha B. Hadji Ibrahim, Instr. Mohamad Hattah B. Bilon, Braheem S. Guiamalon, Monaida G. Kasan, Arabia M. Muriedas and Maida B. Ely. The aimed of the halal project was to developed CSU as Regional Halal Food Processing Center. The center produced nine (9) locally processed food and undergo microbiology and halal testing services of DOST XII halal laboratory. Further, these 9 products were certified halal by Muslim Mindanao Halal Certification Board Inc. (MMHCBI).// TSG
