In addition to providing participants with an opportunity to prepare highly scientific research papers, the seminar workshop also assists them in preparing their thesis proposals.
In her welcome remarks, Dean Dr. Tarhata S. Guiamalon stressed that the Graduate School is making every effort to improve the quality of student dissertations and theses output. Furthermore, she added that the graduate school is grateful for this seminar workshop. This is because it will serve as a great opportunity for students to learn how to write papers and to gain valuable knowledge about the research process.
The resource person, Dr. Jerson Catoto, from the Cotabato Foundation College of Science and Technology (CFCST), stressed that the key ingredient for a successful thesis writing process is passion, and for that reason, he stressed the need to develop passion as early on as possible in the thesis writing process. He added that compliance is not a good incentive for passion but an incentive for mediocre minimalism. // Tarhata Piang Solaiman-Guiamalon
