The dean of the CSU-Graduate School Dr. Tarhata S. Guiamalon, emphasized in her welcome address the meaning of Verse 13 of the Surah Al-Hujarat, O mankind, We have created you from a male and a female, and made you into races and tribes, so that you may identify one another. Surely the noblest of you, in Allah’s sight, is the one who is most pious of you. Surely Allah is All-Knowing, All-Aware. That the division of human beings into nations, races, groups and tribes is for the sake of distinction, so that people of one race or tribe may meet and be acquainted with the people belonging to another race or tribe and cooperate. This division of the human race is neither meant for one nation to take pride in its superiority over others nor is it meant for one nation to treat another with contempt or disgrace, or regard them as a mean and degraded race and usurp their rights.
Prof. Dr. Sema G Dilna, CSU President, delivered his inspirational message highlighting the role of the university in peace building. During the open forum, queries were recognized and answered right after each speaker. The forum ended with the closing remarks of the GSSO President Norodin O. Ibra. Almost 200 participants were present in the event such as CSU Officials, Faculty, Students, CSOs , and Security Sector. // Dr. Tarhata Piang Solaiman
