Cotabato State University (CSU) proudly participated in the annual State Universities and Colleges (SUC) Fair 2024 initiated by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) and hosted by the Western Mindanao State University (WMSU) together with Zamboanga State University. Marine Science and Technology (ZSCMST) and Zamboanga Peninsula Polytechnic National University (ZPPSU) in Zamboanga City on July 9-11, 2024.

       The Fair brought together SUCs from various regions across the Philippines to exhibit their distinctive products, pioneering innovations, and the diverse talents and skills of their students and faculty, with the theme, “Weaving culture and innovations for transformative, resilient, and globally recognized Philippine higher education”.

       This year's fair takes place in parallel with the 30th anniversary of CHED and the 4th National Higher Education Day, focusing on exploring strategies to navigate the global landscape through innovation, culture and art preservation as well as quality higher education.

       The SUC Fair 2024 was participated in by SUCs per region. Region XII was represented by the University of Southern Mindanao (USM), Sultan Kudarat State University (SKSU), Cotabato State University (CSU), Cotabato Foundation College, Science and Technology (CFCST), and Suralla State College (SSC).

      CSU Delegates were CSU President Prof. Dr. Sema G. Dilna, Research Director, Dr. Tarhata S. Guiamalon, SPEED Director, Asso. Prof. Edgar Boquia, CTEd Dean, Dr. Arbaya Boquia, ICU Director, Asso. Prof. Armia K. Dilna, Asst. Prof. Pembain H. Solaiman, Instr. Faisal Monal, Instr. Norodin Salgen, Instr. Paisal Usop, Dr. Musalik Kabunto, Instr. Jonathan Dilna, Sallah Dullah Asgar Solaiman and Braheem Guiamalon.

       Region XII has been selected as the best scientific products in MI CASITA: BOOTH EXHIBIT at the closing ceremony of SUC Fair 2024 on July 11, 2024. CSU showcase the certified halal Maguindanaon Delicacies of CSU Food Processing Center, a CHED IDIG project.

       As CSU seeks to position itself as an institution transforming lives and communities in the Bangsamoro Region, Mindanao, ASEAN and elsewhere, its participation at the SUC Fair of 2024 underlines its continuous commitment to academic excellence, research breakthroughs and breakthrough innovations. //Asheeya Lydia S.
