Cotabato State University headed by the University President Prof. Dr. Sema G. Dilna represented by Dr. Tarhata S. Guiamalon, Research Director of the University and Dr. Raffeq S. Alim, VPRERG Executive Assistant attended the 3rd Quarter Research and Development Cluster Meeting spread headed by SOXAARRDEC and sponsored by Department of Trade and Industry XII (DTI XII) on August 08, 2024 at DTI XII Conference Hall, Prime Reg’l Government Center, Koronadal City, South Cotabato.

       The meeting focused on the Roadmap of the 9 Priority Commodities of SOXAARRDEC. Other matters discussed were 2024 Regional Symposium on R&D Highlights; Conference on “Advocating Policy Reforms towards Effective and Efficient Conduct of Public R&D in the Philippines.”

       SOXAARRDEC member institutions presented updates, current status, and ongoing projects, initiatives and programs of their respective institutions concerning the priority commodities.

       CSU R&D focused on Halal Development and Commercialization of SABA and other agricultural and fisheries commodities. SOXAARRDEC is the SOCCSKSARGEN Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development consortium. A consortium that cares under the Directorship of Dr. Josephine R.
