The Cotabato State University (CotSU), led by University President Prof. Sema G. Dilna, paid a courtesy visit to the Office of the Municipal Mayor of Buldon and participated in a special session of the Sangguniang Bayan last July 1, 2026 to strengthen the University's partnership with the Local Government Unit (LGU) with the aim of advancing extension services, research utilization, and community development. Joining the President were Dr. Armia K. Dilna, Dean of the Graduate School, Dr. Samsia Ibrahim, Director of the Office of Extension Services, Dr. Norkaina C. Samama, Director of the Office of Guidance and Counseling, Dr. Mobarac R. Dimasindel, Director of the Quality Management System Office and Unit Head for Community Organizing, and Ms. Sandra Casan, staff of the Graduate School.

Day 1 | Project WISEE: Women Innovating for Social and Economic Empowerment

 With the leadership of the university President, Dr. Sema G. Dilna, and the Office of the Extension Director, Dr. Samsia A. Ibrahim, the Social Work Department launched Project WISEE Day 1 with the Potri Women’s Agri-Marketing Cooperative in Barangay Mataya, Buldon, Maguindanao del Norte, on April 3, 2026.

 The highlight of the program focused on a forum on access to social services and networks. Key partner agencies presented programs that support livelihood, enterprise growth, and cooperative sustainability.

April 29, 2026 – Cotabato State University (CSU), in partnership with Cotabato Regional and Medical Center (CRMC), underwent an official onsite evaluation by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) in support of its application for a Government Permit to operate the proposed CSU-CRMC College of Medicine. The activity forms part of the regulatory process to assess the institution’s compliance with national standards for medical education.
